South Jeolla
Jeollanam-do is a region where the islands and tidal flats of the archipelago blend harmoniously with the unique food culture of the southern region. Notable attractions include the night sea of Yeosu and its marine cable car, the reed fields of Suncheonman and the national garden, Juknokwon and the Metasequoia tree-lined path in Damyang, and the green tea fields of Boseong. The islands of Mokpo and Sinan are now easily accessible as they are connected by bridges.
Yeosu, Suncheon, and Damyang are close to each other and make a good itinerary to bundle together for a 2 night, 3 day trip. The night sea and cable car of Yeosu are most impressive after sunset. The reed field scenery of Suncheonman is beautiful at sunset. For island areas, check the ferry schedule in advance and move at a leisurely pace.
