North Jeolla
Jeollabuk-do is a province of traditional culture represented by Jeonju Hanok Village and a home of Namdo cuisine. Walking tours are convenient around Hanok Village where Gyeonggi-jeon and Omok-dae are located, and to the west toward the Yellow Sea, Byeonsan Peninsula, Chaeseokgang, Saemangeum, and Seoyu Island follow in succession. Inland, Maisan and Deogyu Mountain allow you to experience both mountains and sea.
Jeonju Hanok Village is very crowded on weekends, so weekdays or early mornings are more pleasant. Hanok Village, Nambusijang Market, and Jeonjong Seongdang Cathedral are connected on foot and are sufficient for a one-day itinerary. Byeonsan Peninsula and Seoyu Island are at some distance from Jeonju, so it is better to plan them as separate outings. Chaeseokgang's accessible sections vary depending on the tide.
