South Gyeongsang
Gyeongsan-namdo centers on the South Coast where islands and seas of the Hallyeo Waterway are connected. Tongyeong's Dongpirang and cable car, Geoje's Haegeum Gangsan and Wind Hill, Namhae's German Village and Dareungyi Village are representative attractions, and inland there are Jirisan, Jinju Fortress, and Haeinsa Temple in Hapcheon. Coastal driving routes are well maintained, making it particularly suitable for car travel.
Since there are distances between attractions on the South Coast, a rental car or personal vehicle is recommended. If you bundle Tongyeong, Geoje, and Namhae together, traveling becomes hectic, so two nights or more is more convenient. Island cruises and cable cars may be suspended depending on weather conditions. During the spring Jinhae Military Port Festival, traffic in the Changwon area is very congested.
