Daejeon
Daejeon is located in the center of the country, making it easily accessible from anywhere as a transportation hub. With science and technology research complexes concentrated in the area, science museums and exhibition facilities are well-equipped. There are many places to rest near the city, such as Yuseong Hot Spring, Gyejok Mountain Yellow Clay Path, and Daecheong Lake Perimeter Trail. It is a good city to visit lightly with a short itinerary.
It takes less than an hour from Seoul by KTX, so a same-day trip is sufficient. If visiting with children, it is good to plan a one-day course combining the National Science Museum and Hanbat Arboretum. Gyejok Mountain Yellow Clay Path has a barefoot walking section, so prepare extra shoes and water. Public transportation around Daecheong Lake is inconvenient, so vehicle travel is recommended.
